Lily of the Valley is a children’s village that cares for children affected by HIV and AIDS. It is set in the rural township of Mophela, Durban in South Africa.
iKhethelo is a children’s village is set in the Valley of 1000 Hills, and cares for over 50 vulnerable children.
Supporting Kids in Peru (SKIP) is a non-profit organisation which helps economically disadvantaged children in impoverished area of El Povenir situated in the outskirts of Trujillo.
Based in the city of Durban, the Denis Hurley Centre was established to support the most
disadvantaged in society. They run programmes that provide meals, social care, a medical clinic and
educational support.
1000 Hills Helpers was created to care for the people of Inchanga in the Valley of 1000 Hills, and includes a pre-school, medical clinic and skills training centre.
Established to care for the elderly and people who are disabled, the Whitehouse shelters and cares for patients who are unable to remain in the community.
Lungisisa Indlela Village
Lungisisa Indlela Village (LIV) is a children’s village near Durban which cares for disadvantaged and vulnerable children. It has onsite schooling and training facilities.
Health reviews are provided for children living in the community. Their needs are assessed via local
pre-schools, primary schools and different children’s homes to perform ‘head-to- toe’ medical
checks.
